Delete your Halora account

You can close your account from inside the app, or ask us to close it for you. Either way it is permanent.

Doing it yourself, in the app

This is the quickest route and it takes effect immediately.

Open Halora and tap your initial, in the top right of Your people.
Choose Close my account.
Read what will happen, enter your password, and confirm.

Asking us to do it

If you cannot get into the app, email admin@actualisedliving.com from the address your account uses and ask us to close it. We will confirm when it is done, within 14 days.

If you write from a different address we will have to check who you are first, which is slower, and we may not be able to act at all.

What is deleted

Your name, your email address and your sign-in are deleted outright. Your account cannot be recovered and nobody can sign into it again. The email address is released, so you can open a new account with it later if you want to.

What stays, and why

Halora holds a shared record about a person being looked after, and that record is not only yours.

Notes you have written about somebody else stay in that person’s circle. The people still looking out for them rely on what is in there, and letting one person empty a shared record on their way out would leave everybody else with gaps in a record they use to notice when something has changed. Those notes stop being attributed to you by name.

A circle nobody else is in is a different matter: nothing in it is shared, so all of it goes with your account, including the name and address of the person it was about.

If you are the only owner of a circle that other people are still in, the app will ask you to make somebody else an owner first, or to remove the other members. This is so a circle several people depend on is never left without anyone able to manage it.

Records we have to keep

We keep a record that an account was closed, when, and which email address it belonged to. That is what lets us answer you later if you ask us to confirm the deletion happened. It is not used for anything else.
